Amplifying the "#InOurBoots" Experiential Campaign

 

When the U.S. Army and lead agency McCann NY launched "In Our Boots"—a groundbreaking virtual reality campaign designed to put potential recruits directly into the boots of active-duty soldiers—the challenge was scale. The VR experience was highly immersive, but to reach the primary Gen Z target audience, that intensive experiential narrative needed to be translated into a rapid-fire, highly engaging social media ecosystem.

The Results

By successfully adapting the campaign for the social feed, we dramatically expanded the footprint of the "In Our Boots" initiative:

  • Amplified the reach of the core VR campaign, putting the immersive recruiting tool directly in front of the target demographic on their preferred platforms.
